Last week, my primary human and I wended our way to Lincolnshire to enjoy and entire seven days of reading in a little cottage (with options to be sociable with other readers and hosts up at the big house). This was the wall around the property (and you can just see the cottage through the gaps):
Inside, these industrious folks were being more energetic than my human and I managed throughout most of the week!
We spent a large part of our time enjoying a comfy armchair, a footrest, a pot of tea and a good book:
We did go on one of the guided walks – which involved the use of a very large key!
It opened this mausoleum, which was part of the estate:
Inside, there was a very contemplative statue:
We had a lovely little patio that was shady most of the afternoon, so we made good use of it:
We also went for a few walks in the surrounding countryside:
The cottage was very close to an attractive village pond:
Some colouring was also undertaken, whilst finishing an audiobook:
My primary human got through an impressive stack of books across the week!
It was a glorious escape from reality and we both thoroughly enjoyed ourselves!
