The Franklin Roosevelt memorial was very different to all the others, as it was made up of a series of open areas with waterfalls and inscriptions in the stone. It was very peaceful.
While we were wandering through, a pair of helicopters flew over from the direction of the White House – perhaps President Obama off on a trip!
