Our first day in Washington consisted of a tour of the Mall, to look at all the monuments and memorials.
We started in the top right corner, where the “H” marks our hotel. Then we went south to the Capitol, west through the Mall, anti-clockwise round the tidal basin, north up into the town, and then east back to the hotel.
