The humans and I spent the weekend in Copenhagen. Little did we know when we got on the plane…
First thing Friday morning, my human watched an episode of Supernatural, which was all about scary clowns. She figured she would have forgotten all about it by the time we reached Copenhagen, which was indeed the case – until we discovered we were staying at the Scary Clown Hotel!
They were *everywhere*…
In the bathroom…
On the sofa cushions…
Above the bed…
The scary clowns even had their own toilets:
The hotel decor was all terrifyingly day-glo:
We even had to walk through a hall of mirrors to get to the breakfast buffet, which also sported ridiculous lights:
Our room itself was similarly decorated, though I thought the entrance way looked more like the set for a 70s porn movie than a circus… (Chicka-bow-wow…)
Then we discovered the sub-basement, where the scary clowns made their lair. There were hundreds of them, ranged along the corridors, ready to eat our brains…
Next:
Another one:
And another one:
And still more:
I’m not kidding – hundreds!
Just talk amongst yourselves for a minute…
The horror continues…
I can’t decide if they’re worse with or without eyes…
Maybe if I can’t see it, it can’t see me?
On our way back to the hotel after our first day trip out, we realised our mistake – the scary clowns even advertised their presence from the outside, but we foolishly hadn’t noticed!
And their leader was nonchalantly hanging out in the lobby, ready to rally his troops and attack while we slept…
This fine fellow was our only defence, his nightly duty to patrol the hotel and stop the scary clown army from taking over the world. We salute his sacrifice!
It wasn’t just confined to the hotel, though! Apparently, the king of the scary clowns is holding some kind of festival, starting in April. It looks like we escaped just in time!
Sweet dreams, unwary travellers!
