You don’t get very far, very fast, travelling by narrowboat – but that’s really not the point. Sometimes it’s just good to slow everything down for a few days, and watching the river drift by at less than walking speed is incredibly relaxing.

This unassuming post in Keynsham marks the furthest point we reached, travelling west from Bradford-on-Avon. The return trip was just as wonderful as the trip out – a lovely little holiday!

The humans and I went to the Steampunk Asylum weekend in Lincoln again. And this year, I made sure I was properly attired! Many thanks to Tab Kimpton of KhaosKostumes for the fantastic outfit, which had me being complimented and photographed all weekend.

Who doesn’t love a good wedding? And I must say the one we attended in Winchester yesterday was truly lovely.

One must, of course, ensure one has the correct accessories.

My humans dressed for the occasion – and don’t they scrub up well, as the best man also said of the bridesmaids. But where, might I ask, is sir’s bow tie?

Ah, there it is! And, I must say, I think it looks better on her! Nice feathers, too.

This lovely lady sat opposite me at dinner and proved a convivial companion. All in all, I did rather well for hugs throughout the day.

Weddings are excellent places for making new friends. This fine fellow was part of the dowry, and turned out to be a good contact when in search of refreshment.

Everyone looked so lovely, I felt a little under dressed, so I appropriated some of the bling from the table decorations.
